This ring is largely inspired by a Neolithic structure named the devils den, located in Marlborough situated just to the east of the well known Silbury hill and of course Avebury, it it well known for its sharp rigid edges, and it’s unique structure representing a den or shelter spot, it is said to be a long barrow around 3500 BCE and old folklore says at night when the wind is high the stones groan and move.
Cast with sterling silver and made with ancient techniques, Our ring mimics the large 3m cap stone, the two portal stones and the supporting pillars, the cap stone been the head of the ring, and 4 engraved supporting stones just down the shoulders, which would have been a perfect entrance or chamber, encapsulated all in a single ring the inspiration can be seen to seep deeply into our design and cast.
At triskelion we can only hope that one day someone stumbles or digs up one of our creations, it will bring mystery and awe to the beholder.
