Inspired by the Swinton Druids’ Temple
Set against weathered stone and wild moorland, this silver ring captures the theatrical spirit of the Swinton Druids’ Temple—a 19th-century folly built to stir the imagination and echo the mystery of prehistoric stone circles.
At its’ centre, a brilliant emerald-cut green gemstone stands upright like a sentinel, flanked by a smaller stone that glints like morning dew. Together, these bold vertical forms echo the exaggerated trilithons of the temple itself but evoke wonder.
Its’ handmade surface reflects the marks of process—imperfect, tactile, and proud of it. Like the temple, the piece is a deliberate blur between myth and material, between fantasy and form.
Photographed atop a lichen-covered stone with the open sky behind, the ring feels less like jewelry and more like a relic of a story half-remembered. It doesn’t pretend to be ancient—but it does invite the wearer to believe.
A tribute to the myths we shape, and the beauty in crafting meaning from stone.
