Inspired by the Druid’s Altar (Threshfield), the Druid’s Altar is a group of upright stones poised like an open hand. Though its’ origin is debated, its’ formation invites pause and reverence.
This design evokes their open arrangement, with five small silver forms rising at irregular intervals along the shoulders of the ring. With 4 stones clambering from the fields of North Yorkshire this 4 post Neolithic build , is known as the druids altar due to the flat piece of stone placed on top of the 2 standing stones however this is said to have been destroyed.
Cast in 925 sterling silver, the piece retains the raw textures of its workings , unpolished edges, soft shadows, and uneven heights.
A tribute to gesture, offering, and elemental stillness.
