At nearly eight metres tall, the Rudston Monolith is Britain’s tallest standing stone—a slender pillar piercing the sky beside a churchyard, defiant against gravity and time.
This piece mirrors its’ slenderness through a long, tapering ridge raised from a smooth oval surface. The metal is darkest around the base and brightest at the peak, echoing the stone’s lichen-bleached tip and sunlit edges.
Cast in 925 sterling silver and shaped by hand, its’ graceful taper is formed with files and burnishing cloths, retaining a tactile sense of scale.
A tribute to upward motion and quiet awe, this is an homage to vertical mystery.
